On October 2, 2008, Solidarite sans frontieres, together with the Society for Threatened Peoples, Amnesty International and the Swiss Refugee Council, protested against the planned expulsions of Chechnyan refugees with a press conference.

We are looking for media created by and with migrants

Solidarité sans frontières is putting together a list of media (newspapers, newsletters, websites, radio and TV programs, short films etc) created by migrants or with the help of migrants. Help us expand our list!

Referendum against biometric passports and identity cards will take place!

17 October 2008: With 63,733 valid signatures collected - far above the required minimum of 50,000 - the Referendum against the Forced Collection of Biometric Data for Swiss Passports and Identity Cards will take place! The definite date of the referendum is not yet known and would be May 2009 at the earliest. Thanks to everyone who helped collect signatures!

Successful "Week of the Migrants!"
8 to 14 September 2008

From 8 to 14 September 2008, people across Switzerland took active part in Week of the Migrants as part of our ongoing campaign "Nothing Works without Us."
